Freeman Regional Health Services

Freeman Regional Health Services is a healthcare facility which primarily serves residents in Hutchinson, McCook and Turner Counties in Southeastern South Dakota. Freeman Regional Health Services provides a full range of healthcare needs.

Freeman Medical Center

A 25-bed critical access hospital offering acute care and outpatient services.

FRHS Clinics

The clinic in Freeman is physically connected to the hospital.  Three satellite clinics are located in Menno, Marion and Bridgewater.  The clinics share staffing with three full-time physicians, and five full-time Advanced Practice Providers. FRHS Clinics are jointly owned and operated by Freeman Regional Health Services and Avera McKennan.

Freeman Regional Nursing Home

A 56-bed Medicare Skilled Nursing Home providing round-the-clock nursing care.  In addition, two 10-bed memory care neighborhoods benefit residents who have memory care needs or are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Walnut and Dewald Street Village

10-unit congregate Living independent apartments owned and operated by Freeman Regional Health Services.  Each 2-bedroom apartment has its own laundry facilities and attached garage.  A continental breakfast is provided each morning by FRHS Nutrition Services.

Freeman Regional Board of Directors

The board of directors at Freeman Regional Health Services is made up of 9 members from Freeman and the surrounding communities of Marion, Menno and Bridgewater.  These individuals provide community representation to ensure that the facility is meeting the needs of the communities.  Those responsibilities include developing long-range planning for programs, services and finances.  Board members include:
