The fourth Annual FRHS Gala was held Saturday, January 26 at the Freeman Community Center. Holly Hoffman, above, was the keynote speaker for this event which is held annually as a fundraiser for the Freeman Regional Health Services Foundation.
Holly spoke to a crowd of about 160 guests. She shared her experience as a contestant on the television show Survivor Nicaragua, 2010, in which she was one of four remaining Survivors.
Holly gave an energetic presentation about her experience in Nicaragua, and how that experience impacted her life.

Harpist Grace Gering provided the music for the evening. Grace is a Senior at Freeman High School.

Auctioneer Ken Wintersteen, who donates his services every year, entertained the guests during the lively auction in which guests bid on twelve live auction items. In addition, there were 60 silent auction items which surrounded the perimeter of the building. All auction items were donated.

Connie Hinckley, Center, smiles as she listens to her mom, Julie Huber, read Connie's words about her recent health challenges, and shared her appreciation to the Freeman Regional Health Services Physical Therapy Department for their part in her recovery. Also standing with Connie was her daughter Lauren Hinckley.

Dave's Grille of Freeman catered Hors d'oeuvres for the fourth year in a row. Prime Rib Sliders, Orange Chili Glazed Shrimp, Strawberry Spinach Salad, and Bourbon Glazed Meatballs were a part of the menu. Desserts consisted of Triple Layer Lemon Cake and Chocolate Dipped Brownies.

her experiences on the television show Survivor. Approximately $14,000.00 was raised for the foundation project - a telemetry system for the Cardiac Rehab Department. Telemetry is a wireless system that allows health care workers to monitor and catch irregularities and potential heart problems. "We are preventing future heart attacks and other complications," said Beth Preheim, director of Cardiac Rehab Services. "Telemetry helps us catch problems early." The total cost of the system is $28,000.00. |
