Freeman Community Blood Drive

The Freeman Community Blood Drive will be held at Freeman Regional Health Services Thursday, June 19 from 7:30-1:30.  The vans will be parked in the FRHS main parking area.  Donors must register inside the hospital entrance prior to donation.  Donors must be 16 years old, in good health, and weigh at least 120 pounds.  Please bring a valid form of identification, such as your donor ID card or driver's license.

FUN FACTS.....

  • One pint of blood can serve up to three lives?
  • Someone needs blood every two seconds.
  • Only 38% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood but less than 10 percent donate annually.
  • There is no substitute for human blood.
  • You cannot get AIDS or any other infectious disease by donating blood.  Healthy adults who are 16 years old and weigh at least 120 pounds may donate one pint of whole blood every 56 days.
  • About 1 in 7 people entering a hospital needs blood.
