Freeman Regional Health Services offers an Adult Day Services Program
under the auspices of Oakview Terrace's Activities Department. This is a community
based program that assists adults in need of supportive services so they may
remain as active and independent as possible.
Services for clients of this program include supervision in a safe environment,
transportation within Freeman, health monitoring, diet accommodated meals and
snacks, activities and socialization. This program also benefits the caregivers,
giving them an opportunity to run errands, keep appointments, etc.
The cost of Adult Day Services is calculated on an individual basis, depending
on a person's age and financial situation. The cost is discussed in further detail during
the initial interview. Adult Day Services staff is present Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For questions contact Joline Thomas, Adult Day Services
Coordinator, at (605) 925-4000.
Robert Waltner comes to Adult Day Care
several times a month. Here, he spends a
quiet afternoon, reading.
