Once a day, Monday through Friday, hot, nutritious low cost noon meals are delivered to the homes of Freeman community residents. The meals are prepared by the FRHS dietary staff and are delivered by volunteers from the Freeman area. The meals meet individual diet requirements
“We are very fortunate to have reliable volunteers to deliver the meals,” says Dietary Manager Beverly Ulmer. “They come, rain or shine. This is a wonderful program. It benefits people who have difficulty with cooking due to illness, or having just returned home from the hospital and need some short term or long term assistance.”
There is no Meals On Wheels delivery on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s Day. No Meals-On-Wheels will be delivered when Freeman schools are cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
The cost for each meal is $3.00.
