The primary role of a Physical Therapist is to help resolve impairments to improve function. Treatment interventions focus on pain relief, extremity exercises, transfer and gait training, and education with clients to review home program recommendations. Teaching clients general principles in these areas help empower them to care for themselves
Tony Miller is the physical therapist at Freeman Regional Health Services. He and physical therapy assistant Emily Wussow work together to achieve the best possible outcome for their patients.
They work with patients who have had fractures, dislocations, soft tissue injuries, as well as those who have suffered a stroke or heart attack.
Clients across the entire age spectrum may benefit from Physical Therapy Services. Infants and toddlers in the “birth to 3 year connections” program, children within the school system,
adults as hospital inpatients/outpatients and geriatric clients from the skilled nursing facility.
Occupational Therapist Susan Brende and Speech Therapist Sarah Gilmore are available
through contract services at Freeman Regional Health Services.
