Diabetes Educational Classes Offered at FRHS

Freeman Community Health, in conjunction with Freman Regional Health Services, will offer the following health classes:

Diabetes Part 1: The first in the series is "Diabetes 101" scheduled on June 1 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Freeman Regional Health Services conference room.  This hour long class is an introduction to diabetes and explains which foods affect your blood sugar and how much you should eat.  This class is also useful for people who want to prevent the onset of diabetes.

Diabetes Part 2: The second class is "Make the Most of your Meter" and will be presented June 8 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.  This class gives an overview of how to use blood sugar testing to improve blood sugar control.  It will also cover common reasons why blood sugar readings may go up and down.  Before attending this session it is helpful to have attended the Diabetes 101 class.  Pre-registration is required for diabetes classes.  For more information and to register, call 605-925-4000.

These classes will be offered again throughout the year.
